Leatherneck Bowie is a high-quality Bowie knife, signed by Mr. Lynn C. Thompson, founder of Cold Steel. Each knife has a number, and only 3000 pieces are produced worldwide. The shape of the blade is based on the classic shape of the Bowe knife. The blades of Cold Steel Leather neck are made of D2 steel. It is a mold steel with a high content of additives suitable for cold forging. The chromium and carbon content is particularly high. This type of steel has high wear resistance and can effectively fix blades, but its machinability will decrease and the blades will be more difficult to renew. It has considerable corrosion resistance, but it is not stainless steel. That's why the blades undergo stone washing and anti-corrosion treatment. The full handle foot design ensures the strength of the knife, and the solid handle adopts a thick steel cap (not the cheap castings or plastics we see in similar designs of our competitors in the market).
